Attendees will be physically active and interactive throughout the program. Participants are skillfully guided through all aspects of the movement process, which include “hi-touch” personal connection, cooperation, and trust & bonding exercises in a psychologically safe environment.

– Feeling accepted and being accepting

How many people can be in a workshop?

The Moving Edge Workshop specializes in “high touch” experiences. It is suggested that a workshop be limited to no more than 16-20 participants. Larger groups can be accommodated and will require additional event staff.

Do participants need to be exercising and in good shape?

Participants should move at their individual pace. Although everyone is encouraged to challenge themselves, it is important to monitor your heart rate and breathing during the workshop and rest when needed. Age or ability is no barrier.

What do I wear?

Comfortable, loose clothing is recommended. Athleisure wear, including shorts, sweats, T-shirts, yoga clothes, headbands. For your feet: socks, bare feet, light sneakers.

Is this a dance workshop?

No! The Moving Edge Workshops are based on natural movement inherent to the body and are fun, easy and engaging. The focus is on body/mind connection and conscious play with your team, not patterns and rhythms found in traditional dances.

What kind of space is needed for a workshop?

It is important to have an open space for freedom of movement. Studio spaces with wood floors and mirrors are a good choice. Conference rooms with flat carpets are good. If these spaces are unavailable at your business, finding another venue is suggested. A sound system for music and addressing the group is recommended.
